2. Why nearshoring

What is nearshoring?

Nearshoring is the practice of getting work or services performed by people in neighboring countries. You shouldn’t think of working with Rapido as outsourcing; we specialize in building extensions of your team in Mexico and ensure you do not give up your culture and best practices.

What is the difference between nearshoring and offshoring?

While offshoring involves outsourcing services to people in distant countries, nearshoring utilizes talent in neighboring countries. At Rapido, we specifically specialize in building teams in Guadalajara and Leon, Mexico.

What are the benefits of building a team in Mexico?

We believe Mexico is the easy choice for nearshore talent sourcing. Building teams in Mexico is a cost-effective solution that offers multilingual, highly educated talent and workforce scalability. Discover all the benefits of nearshoring in Mexico (and Guadalajara and Leon in particular).

Is nearshoring more expensive than offshoring?

The cost of nearshoring can be slightly more expensive than offshoring, but it is significantly less expensive than building a local in-house team. While nearshoring in Mexico may involve higher labor costs compared to offshoring to other countries, it also offers benefits like reduced travel expenses and better cultural alignment because of its proximity to the US.

How does Rapido help co-manage employees?

We continue to provide support and track performance via KPIs. Our Quality and Development team identifies areas for improvement as well as employees who are performing above and beyond expectations. What data security measures are in place?

At Rapido, cybersecurity is a priority. We foster an information security environment starting with routine trainings and tests to keep our employees updated on cybersecurity best practices. In addition, we work with IT standards, methodologies, and different collaboration tools to manage incidents in a timely manner. We are committed to prevention; our network infrastructure is compliant with world-class standards to provide a secure information security environment.

What KPIs do you use to track success?

Key performance indicators (KPIs) may vary by the different roles and responsibilities, but they are all aligned to business goals, expectations, procedures, and systems. Commonly tracked KPIs are loads booked, loads tracked, outbound and inbound calls, invoices submitted, and loads operated. These KPIs can be tracked daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on the operational need.
